LVK Inventory and Product Terms

TermDefinition
AllocatedCount of how many units you have in stock and owe to customers for open orders.
Allow PartialIf a customer orders two products and only one is in stock, you can choose whether to ship the available unit right away or wait until all items are in stock. You can apply this setting as an automation rule or change it on individual orders.
AvailableThe number of units for a SKU that LVK pushes to your connected sales channels. This equals On Hand plus any Sell Ahead, minus any allocations to open orders. You can set Sell Ahead on a Purchase Order, often to support pre-orders.
Back OrderCount of how many units are allocated to orders that don't have matching On Hand inventory.
Barcode or UPCA barcode or UPC (Universal Product Code) represents data in a visual, machine-readable form, using varying widths and spacing of parallel lines.
Bin (Location)A defined location for organizing SKUs in the warehouse.
Hazmat ProductsHazmat is short for "hazardous materials": substances that, in certain quantities or forms, pose a risk to health, property, or the environment. Hazmat products require proper mapping and carrier authorization. LVK doesn't ship Hazmat products internationally.
KitA SKU that contains a collection of other SKUs, called components.
On HandThe total count of a SKU physically present in the warehouse. Available is the count shown in your sales channels.
On OrderThe total count of a SKU that you've ordered from a vendor (also called a supplier).
Pending ReturnThe total count of a SKU that's currently marked for return but hasn't been received yet.
Sell AheadCount of units on an incoming Purchase Order that you want to make available for sale on your platform before LVK receives them. For example, if you have 10 On Hand, 0 Allocated, and a Purchase Order arriving tomorrow with 100 units, setting a Sell Ahead of 50 tells your sales channel that 60 units are available for sale (On Hand plus Sell Ahead).
SKUStock Keeping Unit: a unique identification code assigned to each product in your inventory. If a product doesn't already have one, LVK generates a SKU based on the product ID from the sales channel.
