A box manifest is a CSV file that tells the warehouse exactly what's inside each box you send. Upload one with your shipping plan and the receiving team knows which SKUs and quantities to expect per box, which speeds up receiving and reduces discrepancies.

What Is a Box Manifest?
A box manifest lists how your products are packed within a shipping plan, broken down box by box. Each row records three things:
- The SKU you're sending to the warehouse.
- The box number that SKU is packed in.
- The quantity of that SKU inside that box.
Box Manifest Example
In this example, the merchant is sending four boxes. Captain-America appears in all four boxes, so it gets a separate row for each one.

How to Create a Shipping Plan Using a Box Manifest
- Download the Box Manifest Template attached to this article.
- Fill in the box number, SKU, and quantity for every box in your shipment.
- Save the file in CSV format. Other file types are rejected on upload.
- Go to the Shipping Plans page and select Upload Box Manifest.
- Select the warehouse and vendor for this shipment.
- Attach the CSV file and select Save.
If you're sending pallets, print your pallet tags before the shipment leaves for the warehouse.
