Special Project Guidelines

A special project is any request outside the regular pick, pack, receiving, and shipping process. Following Special Project guidelines is required to avoid delays and additional fees.

Important Note

Special Projects that do not follow our guidelines will experience longer wait times. LVK reserves the right to reject non-compliant Special Project requests.

Key Guidelines and Service Details

Operating Hours Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM EST.
Standard Labor Cost (minimum 15-minute billing) $45/hr (US) / $63/hr CAD (Canada)
Weekend Labor Fee 1.5× the hourly rate. Confirmed on a case-by-case basis.
Peak Season Deadline During peak season (Oct.–Jan.), projects must be pre-approved by October 15.
Timeline Completion date depends on project size, scope, and warehouse availability.
Pick-Up Requirements Projects marked Ready to Pickup must be collected within 3 business days.

Requesting a Special Project

To request a Special Project, follow the steps below. Some projects require additional information — refer to the Special Project Options table for specifics.

  1. Open a support ticket to start your request.
  2. CC anyone on your team who needs updates.
  3. Enter a subject, description, and any required attachments.
  4. Select the Special Project Category and the Warehouse (LVK location) where the work needs to be completed.
  5. Click Submit.

Orders and inventory can be automatically flagged as a special project in these cases:

  • Large Orders: Orders with over 50 picks (may vary by product dimensions).
  • Non-Compliant Barcoding: Inventory requiring re-barcoding or re-labeling incurs a fee of $0.18/unit + $45/hr (US) / $50/hr (CA) labor. See SKU and Barcode Setup for requirements.

Special Project Options

Bagging Products Bagging or re-boxing products.

Cost of bag/box + Labor Fee ($45/hr US, $63/hr CA). Minimum 15-minute billing.

If re-labeling is required: $0.25/unit (US) / $0.34/unit (CA).
  1. Select "Other" from the Special Project Category.
  2. Attach steps and images.
Re-Barcoding Products Re-labeling your products. $0.25/unit (US) / $0.34/unit (CA) + Labor Fee ($45/hr US, $63/hr CA). Minimum 15-minute billing.
  1. Select "Barcoding" from the Special Project Category.
  2. Provide the list of SKUs and new barcode information.
Cycle Count (Inventory Audit) Counting or auditing all or specific SKUs. Labor Fee: $45/hr (US) / $63/hr (CA). Minimum 15-minute billing.
  1. Select "Cycle Count" from the Special Project Category.
  2. Provide the list of SKUs to be counted.
FBA or Walmart Prep Orders to be sent to Amazon or Walmart. See FBA and Walmart Prep for pricing and requirements.
Inventory Disposal/Removal Partial or full removal or disposal of inventory from an LVK warehouse. See Inventory Disposal/Removal for pricing and requirements.
Kitting Pre-assembling items into a single ship unit. See Kitting requests for pricing and requirements.
Transfer Orders Moving inventory within or between warehouses. See Inventory Transfer requests for pricing and requirements.
Wholesale/B2B Order Prep Bulk orders requiring specialized preparation services. See Wholesale and B2B requests for pricing and requirements.

Special Project Non-Compliance Fees

Fee Type Violation Cost
Non-Compliant Staging (Pickup Delay) Project marked Ready to Pickup but not collected within 3 business days. $15/pallet/day or $15/order/day (small parcel).
Canceled Projects Project canceled after work has begun or is complete. Labor fees for work completed + $150 Cancellation Fee.
You will need to create a Shipping Plan for LVK to receive the inventory again.
