What is Kitting?
Kitting is the process of bundling related items into a single "kit" that ships together as one unit. LVK's Special Projects team pre-assembles kits so they can ship immediately when an order comes in — no individual picking or packing required.
If LVK is pre-assembling your kit, the Assembly SKU does not need to be set up as a kit in the LVK app.
How to Submit a Kitting Request
Before opening a ticket, have the following ready:
- An Assembly SKU — a unique SKU name and barcode for the finished kit. This must be different from any of its component SKUs.
- SKU names assigned to all components (boxes, marketing materials, etc.).
Then open a support ticket and include:
- The Assembly SKU name and total quantity to pre-build.
- Each component SKU and the quantity needed per kit.
The Special Projects team will update the ticket once kitting is complete.
Labor is charged at $45/hr (US) and $63/hr (CA), with a 15-minute minimum. See Special Project Guidelines for full pricing details.
