Fragile items need protective packaging before they arrive at an LVK warehouse. LVK stores and packs fragile SKUs only when each unit comes pre-packed in sealed, barcoded protective packaging, and charges a per-unit fee when an order needs additional protection during packing.
Fragile Item Packaging Requirements
Every fragile unit must arrive in its own sealed protective package with a scannable barcode on the outside. The warehouse receives, stores, and ships the sealed package as the unit.
Fragile items that arrive loose or outside a sealed container are returned to the manufacturer or merchant at the merchant's expense. Confirm your supplier packs and barcodes each unit before the shipment leaves for the warehouse.
Fragile Item Packing Fees
These fees apply on top of your standard fulfillment charges:
- Bubble wrap or similar protection: $0.50 USD per unit per order in the US, $0.67 CAD per unit per order in Canada. Applies to any SKU or order that requires added protection during packing.
- Geami paper wrap: $1.85 per order. See Using Geami Paper Wrap for how to request it.
Important
LVK is not liable for fragile items broken during receiving, storage, processing, or shipping. Protective packaging that meets the requirements above is the merchant's responsibility.
