Setting up LVK Location in Shopify

When you connect your Shopify store to LVK, Shopify will manage your inventory by default — meaning LVK will not push any inventory changes to Shopify. If you want LVK to manage your inventory, you must set up a location for LVK and adjust a few settings in your Shopify store. In this article, we cover:

How to Add LVK to Your Shopify Locations

To add LVK as a location in your Shopify store, you can either create a new location or edit an existing one using the steps below.

  1. Log in to your Shopify store as an Admin user.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Settings > Locations.
  3. To create a new location, click Add Location in the top right. To edit an existing location, select the Location Name you wish to update.
  4. Copy and paste LVK as the Location Name. The name must match exactly as shown — if it does not, inventory will not sync.

If you are shipping from more than one country, a separate location must be created for each. To create a second location, please reach out to our Support Team HERE.

  5. Enter the address of the LVK warehouse where you send most of your shipping plans. Even if you plan to have orders fulfilled from multiple LVK locations, you only need to enter the primary address. HERE is the full list of LVK fulfillment center addresses.
  6. Check the option "Fulfill online orders from this location."
  7. Click Save.

If you want to make LVK the default location so that all online orders are fulfilled by LVK, you will need to enable that setting as well. Here are some additional resources from Shopify:

How to Add a Location to Products in Shopify

For LVK to sync the physical inventory count from our warehouse to Shopify, you need to add the LVK location to the SKUs you have sent to us.

  1. From the left menu, click Products > Inventory.
  2. Select the SKUs added to the LVK Shipping Plan.
  3. Click Bulk edit at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click the Columns button in the upper right and select the LVK location.
  5. Change "Not Stocked" to "Stock at this location" and leave the quantity as 0. Repeat this for each row that says "Not Stocked." To update all products at once, hold Shift and click each "Not Stocked" cell, then change the option in a single cell to apply it to all.
  6. Click Save.

Once the warehouse receives your products and puts them away, LVK will sync inventory to your Shopify store. Every time the available quantity changes in LVK — whether from a new order, a received shipping plan, or a restocked return — it is automatically synced to your SKUs in Shopify.

Troubleshooting and FAQs

I've followed the steps to add a location, but none of my products' inventory matches what's in LVK.

If the location is set up and added to your products but inventory still isn't syncing, the location name may be incorrect. Make sure you've copied and pasted the location name exactly as shown in this guide, with no extra spaces before or after the name.

I've added a new product to Shopify and sent it to your warehouse. It shows as received, but Shopify still shows 0 inventory.

If it's only this one SKU that isn't syncing, confirm that you've added the LVK location to the product. This step is easy to miss, especially when creating new SKUs in Shopify.

I'm using more than one LVK warehouse. Do I need to set up a location for each?

No. Creating the "LVK" location allows us to push inventory from all LVK warehouse locations.

Will LVK overwrite my inventory if I'm using LVK and another 3PL?

No — that's the beauty of Shopify Locations. LVK will only push inventory to our own location in Shopify and will not touch inventory in any other location.

Can you connect multiple Shopify stores to LVK?

Yes. As long as the SKU is the same across both stores, we will push the same inventory number to each.
